Julia Kuhns started Dancing Armadillos out of her love for creating. Both henna and face painting provide the challenge of making beautiful fluid designs unique to each person receiving it. She loves creating a design on customers and seeing the joy on their faces when they see the final product. She thinks it is special that she can use her talents to help people feel beautiful or unique.
Julia grew up near the Twin Cities in Minnesota and has been making anything and everything she could since she was little. During her time at University in Wisconsin she met a local henna artist and was given the opportunity to work with her for several years and improve her henna and face painting skills. In the spring of 2017 she moved to Michigan to work on a farm. Through this job she was able to provide henna and face painting for the local farmers markets and officially create Dancing Armadillos.
She strives to continue to provide high quality and safe body art to people in the mid-Michigan area, always growing as an artist and a person.
